Celestial Transits

A young woman names Olive struggles to define her own identity, which manifests into her two inner “celestial beings,” Sol and Luna, coming into a conflict.

My Role

For Celestial Transits, I had the role of Sound Supervisor, Sound Designer, and Mixer. Aside from the score composer, I was the only person involved in the sound for the project. My tasks included communicating with the animation team and the composer, conducting frequent meetings in order to ensure that we were keeping on schedule for the due date and release date of Celestial Transits, as well as creating the background effects, SFX, and Foley, and mixing the final sound effects pass with the score in ProTools in order to fix any last-minute volume adjustments, panning, reverb, and automation. I also kept track of various other organizational and administrative duties.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to have full creative control of the sound for this project. A lot of the time I am leading a team of various sound designers and I am putting a lot of trust in others while for this project I got to do a lot of the hands-on work myself.
